Adult ClassesClasses are drop-in, except where noted. Junior members attending Adult Classes (requires permission from the instructor) will be charged the adult fee. Conditioning Contract holders may take any class on the Athletic Schedule for no additional charge. Without a Conditioning Contract, cost varies per class. Group Fitness Classes are located in the 4th Floor Studios and include the following classes. Cardio H2O Water AerobicsA high-intensity workout with low-impact provided by water. Group Cycling: 50-60 minutesGroup cycling is one of the most effective workouts to hit the fitness scene. Repetitive movement has been proven to burn fat. Instructors lead you on a stationary bike ride with hill climbs, fast races and pace pedaling with Star Trac cycling computers. Step Evolution–Step 'n II: 60 minutesGood, old-fashioned, full-fledged cardio step! Choreography is upbeat and changing. Advanced move alternatives can be practiced here. Combination Classes
Buff, Bike & BalanceAn express workout combining four-minute intervals of cycling, weights and core balance practice for an intense fat-burning, cardio and sculpting workout. Kalorie Killer: 75 minutesA Saturday class incorporating step aerobics and muscular endurance for a thorough weekend workout. Step ChallengeA shorter version of Kalorie Killer. Step & Sculpt: 60 minutesAlternate step choreography and resistance exercises for a workout that increases cardiovascular endurance and strength. Not So Fancy Step (NSF): 60 minutesStep plus weights. An intermediate step workout with the addition of hand weights, body bars or plyoballs Functional Fitness: 60 minutesThis workout is designed to inprove muscular strength, flexibility and endurance, as well as body alignment and balance. Participants will enjoy the benefits of yoga, Pilates and resistance equipment. All levels. Step & Sculpt: 60 minutesAlternate step choreopgraphy and resistance exercises for a workout that increases cardiovascular endurance and strength. Specialty ClassesBootcamp Fitness: 60 minutesThe name speaks for itself. Focus on strengthening legs, abs and upper body in a military style. Discipline and intensity is the name of the game. Please allow at least 10 minutes of active warm-up prior to this class. Central Zone: 40 minutesThis class focuses on the center of your body, the abdominals and back. Surrounding muscle areas contribute and are considered in this central workout. Core Lab: 15-30 minutesSolid core strength and abdominal work Lebed MethodSystematic movements stimulate the immune system, helping promote optimum health. Benefits include increased range of motion, weight stabilization, structural rebalancing, overall strength, reduced lymphedema. Excellent for cancer and surgery rehab. Power FlexTM: 45-60 minutesParticipants follow an instructor to perform simple, controlled movements with a variable weight barbell set to upbeat music, focusing on specific muscle groups with weight and position changes. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, routines are easy to learn and driven by results. NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action)Fitness Fusion: This workout blends modern and ethnic dance, yoga and martial arts. Experience this totally new workout without shoes to liberate your motor skills and tone and condition like never before. Pli-Yo BallThis class combines Pilates and yoga moves with the Thera Ball for flexibility and a complete core-strengthening workout. JudoJudo is a martial art emphasizing throws and grappling techniques. Benefit by learning discipline, respect, mental training and the value of traditions. |
