The Wellness Center is pleased to now be selling a healthy protein bar—the Paleobar®. This bar provides a quality source of whey protein. This whey comes from herds of cows that graze on grass pastures. These milking cows are not subject to any chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, genetically modified organisms, or hyperimmunizations. The bar is also fortified with healthy monounsaturated oils and omega-3 fats, and it is sweetened with sugar alcohols. These sugar alcohols convert slowly into sugar, and thereby do not spike your blood sugar. They are considered to be a very low glycemic carbohydrate source.
