Kelly Adamson, Coed Fitness Manager
Kelly's passion for exercise and fitness started early with outdoor adventures in the Appalachian Mountains. While in college for exercise and sport science, she continued to play outdoors as a mountain biker, hiker, kayaker and trail runner. Kelly then adopted a holistic approach to exercise and health. While completing her studies, she also trained as a yoga instructor. In training her clients, Kelly pays attention not only to the body during exercise, but also to how lifestyle may be affecting movement. Repetitive movement patterns in the workplace, stress and breathing, or even postural imbalances may be causing problems. With this knowledge, she helps clients achieve their personal goals both inside and outside of the gym.

Nate Armstrong
Nate has earned a bachelor of science in exercise science from Washington State University. He has volunteered as a Special Olympics coach, teen and kid fitness instructor and a preschool PE teacher. He enjoys providing sport-specific training for teens and general health training for seniors and middle-aged people. Nate loves to interact with all types of people at different fitness levels.

Jill Bruyere
Jill comes from a very competitive athletic background in collegiate and semi-professional soccer. Through her experience, she realizes the importance of setting goals and mentally preparing for success. She develops a wide variety of fitness programs, including sport-specific training for all ages. When designing a program, Jill encourages her clients to set specific goals, and then creates a positive, energetic, motivational atmosphere. Overall, Jill believes the importance of physical activity is not to look a certain way, but to improve your quality of life.

Mona Caravetta
A recent transplant from the East Coast, Mona's career as a personal trainer spans 18 years. She has achieved great success working with a diverse clientele that includes adults with chronic disease, teens, advanced athletes and a wide variety of clinical populations in both health club and clinical settings. As a certified medical exercise specialist, Mona collaborates with doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists to design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for patients. She also has an extensive background in competitive sports, including NCAA collegiate level women's softball. She is a retired national level bodybuilder.

Roy Coleman, Jr.
As a former basketball, track and collegiate football player, Roy uses a wide variety of techniques, including plyometrics, swiss ball, medicine ball and sports-specific training to move his clients toward their personal goals and, most importantly, set new ones. Roy's background includes work with athletes, adults and kids. Having worked as a trainer for the mature adult program at Western Washington University, he also realizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle throughout one's lifetime. During the summer, Roy runs speed and agility camps for all fitness levels and ages.

Jay de la Pena
Jay has worked as a personal trainer at Western Washington University's mature adults program and Whatcom County's YMCA. He has also served as an exercise assistant to the staff at Olympic Physical Therapy. An avid sports fan and participant, Jay specializes in designing and implementing sport-specific programs for individuals of all backgrounds. Jay enjoys working with a diverse pool of clients, from young teens to mature adults, both inexperienced and professional.

Erika Ensign
Erika firmly believes that consistent exercise has a profound impact on our quality of life. She listens carefully to her clients' goals, concerns and health history to develop a unique and motivating training style tailored to the individual. A collegiate basketball player and team captain for Concordia University in Wisconsin, she directed and coached youth sports and specialized in fitness programs for children for more than seven years. In addition, she has conducted metabolic testing for clinical research and implemented post-rehabilitation programs for physical therapy patients as an aide. Erika loves a challenge, and she's determined to find a creative way to make exercise a permanent life-habit for everyone.

Mary Fisher
Mary's experience covers both strength and athletic training in an assortment of fitness settings. Much of her experience stems from Washington State University where she served as an athletic trainer for a variety of sports, including rowing and football. Since then, Mary has been employed at the WAC as a personal trainer and fitness expert for more than three years. Her objective is to help her clients achieve their goals through a well-rounded program of strength and cardiovascular training, balance, flexibility and nutrition. Mary's fun, outgoing personality complements her training techniques.

Kelsie Giles
Kelsie is certified in physical education with 18 years of experience in teaching and coaching. Her strong background in personal training includes the Olympic Athletic Club, American Woman Health & Fitness and Curves for Women. A track and field All–American, Kelsie specializes in circuit weight training, muscular endurance, body-fat reduction, balance and coordination. Her philosophy in life is "a healthy, fit body and a positive, active mind are the best kinds of insurance. In short: keep active, say your prayers and have fun!"

Sara Klingenberg
Participating in a variety of sports throughout her life, Sara has a diverse background in fitness and training. She began building her athletic background at a young age with competitive swimming, basketball and track and field. Certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Sara is currently preparing to enter a master's program in nutrition. Finding a balance between lifestyle, fitness and nutrition is Sara's goal for herself and her clients.

Darrick Kung
Since he grew up with competitive athletics, it has always been part of Darrick's lifestyle to increase people's awareness of physical health and wellness. His experience in nutrition and strength conditioning allows him to create safe, effective programs that reach out to diverse populations. Whether your focus is healthy weight management, improving sports performance or increasing your daily activities, each goal is attainable through motivation and coaching. Darrick's approach is to tailor the program to the individual. By constantly adjusting program variables, he keeps potentially repetitive exercises challenging and interesting. Ultimately, this takes clients to the next level.

Andrea La Vare-Sandoval
Andrea has been a personal trainer and group exercise leader for more than 10 years. Thanks to her expertise in managing obesity, many of her clients have lost and kept off more than 50 pounds. She is experienced in working with clients who have diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia or lower back pain. Andrea's personal training philosophy is that programs should be comprehensive—incorporating balance, coordination, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise—not just limited to strength training. She started the very popular salsa workshop. Andrea is also a ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray School of Dance.

Jaison Naiker
Jaison's professional background as an excercise specialist in a physical therapy clinic has taught him how to train individuals for functional goals, including core stability, strength, range of motion and flexibility. Jaison enjoys working with exercise beginners, weekend warriors and experienced athletes. His athletic background began in British Columbia. A Junior Olympian in soccer and a BC Junior Golf athlete, Jaison continues to play both sports competitively, as well as mountain bike and ski.

Shaine Rogers
Shaine, a long-time fitness enthusiast, is fascinated with strength training and the benefits it provides when combined with a healthy lifestyle. Using his knowledge and experience, he develops structured programs for his clients to focus them on strength training, diet and cardiovascular exercise. In his spare time, Shaine volunteers as a firefighter/EMT for Eastside Fire and Rescue in Issaquah. He also enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking and researching new training techniques.

Robert Sax
Robert's motto is "live once—live right." His firm belief of incorporating nutrition, exercise and rest into a daily lifestyle is his secret for success. As a former soccer and lacrosse player, Robert has the ability to train and perform at optimum levels. Robert understands the connection between the spirit, mind and body. His specialties are high-intensity training, total body conditioning, core strengthening and yoga. Robert is known for his unconventional training technique that incorporates resistence training, elastic bands, Swiss balls, plyometrics and sport-specific training. Robert's energy, focus and discipline catch on with whomever he trains. His background includes working with collegiate sport teams, triathletes, adults and teenagers.

Tom Schram
Tom was certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in California. He is currently taking classes through Arizona Health Sciences University toward his master's degree in human movement. Tom has always competed in sports. His early education was in power lifting for strength and speed. His main focus now is functional and balance training or sport-specific training that will decrease the risk of injury. Tom is very involved in summer sports, such as golf, biking and ultimate frisbee, and in winter sports, such as snowboarding. Tom believes that training for everyday situations is the key to longevity and a higher quality of life.

Scott Spraggins
A former football and track athlete, Scott brings several years of experience in the most current training techniques. He specializes in innovative conditioning strategies and customized motivational techniques for all ages and fitness levels. When Scott is not training, he focuses his creative energy on writing and producing music under the co-owned record label Cover 3 Entertainment.

Richard You
Richard has more than 20 years of experience in the strength and conditioning field, emphasizing all aspects of exercise, nutrition and diet. He designs individualized programs than can help clients obtain their desired goals. Richard has been an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Washington Husky Football Team and has trained under both Dragmair Ciorsolan at the Olympics Training Center and Tommy Kono, three-time Olympic weightlifting champion.
