Reciprocal Clubs
Reciprocal Club LibraryLocated in 9th Floor Member Services The WAC has entered into formal agreement with more than 200 clubs worldwide. These clubs will extend access and courtesy to WAC members, as will the WAC to reciprocal members who visit us. Each of these fine establishments is comparable to the WAC in service excellence and may offer athletic, health and spa services, as well as dining or overnight accommodations. Club policies vary regarding service fees, the number of days a member may visit and restrictions for residents. For full descriptions, club reviews, brochures and photographs, visit our Reciprocal Club Library. The reciprocal agreement requires that each club receive a formal letter of member introduction (the introductory card) prior to member visits. If a member wishes overnight accommodations or special dining reservations, they must directly contact the club they will be visiting once the introduction is made. Payments will also be handled directly between member and club; they cannot be billed to your WAC number. WAC members over age 21 may make reciprocal club requests. Planning your trip
Once the introductory card is ready, we can mail or fax it to you or the designated reciprocal club, or you can pick it up in WAC Member Services. Present the introductory card at check-in or when registering at the designated reciprocal club. Many clubs will also ask for a valid WAC membership card, so be sure to bring yours.
FEATURED ARTICLE OF THE MONTHThe Balboa Bay ClubDo you take this honeymoon? I do! I do! Long after the Champagne bubbles have flattened, tipsy relatives have taken their final foxtrot, and birds have picked over the thrown rice, WAC brides and grooms can begin their lives by flying south to the Balboa Bay Club. WAC newlyweds, never-weds and someday-I'll-weds can honeymoon at this swanky bayside refuge on the shores of Newport Beach. Spacious rooms underscore Spa-like amenities, big bay views and balconies. It's a mise en scene that encourages tired souls to surrender as the hushed sounds of multimillion-dollar yachts swish through the private marina seascape-lulling you to sleep. Didn't splurge on a bayside room? Heed WAC member and recent Balboa Bay Club patron Lisa Swei's advice and head to the outdoor patio dining area. Indeed, little beats moon gazing under a star-lit sky with a lovebird as tunes trickle from Duke's Place, a haven for nightly entertainment. The club's First Cabin restaurant lures and allures with candlelit tables and tantalizing plates like Chateaubriand for Two (for the inseparable). And if your appetite for cake has not waned, ample are other opportunities for dessert. Relive your "I do's" with a new 'do in the Spa. Or, if marital anxiety has set in, it's not too late to run away or just do so in a 25-yard lap pool, on the tennis courts, gym or jogging track. Because the hotel is open to the public, mention your WAC membership at the time of booking to enjoy special reciprocal rates. (As WAC members, you also have "members only" access to The Bay Club Grill and Sunday Brunch at Henry's Bistro, as well as discounts on certain services/products.)
