Raise a glass

Here's to one of Toronto's finest clubs

Tradition. Sophistication. Aesthetic appeal. It's all here within the walls of the University Club of Toronto, located in Canada's largest city.
Declared a Heritage Building by the Province of Ontario, the club was founded in 1906 by alumni of the University of Toronto, and moved to its current location in 1929. With a premium downtown location, the University Club serves as the perfect launching point to explore everything Toronto has to offer, including multicultural sites, Lake Ontario beaches, architectural gems and world-class restaurants.

Not that you'll want to dine elsewhere. In addition to 12 recently renovated overnight rooms - which are luxuriously appointed and competitively priced - a fitness facility and squash courts, the University Club offers WAC members the opportunity to savor French-inspired cuisine in the elegant Library and Main Bar or casual fare in the Lounge.

Santé!
Value-minded wine connoisseurs will appreciate an extensive wine list that is priced below the typical restaurant markup, thanks to a club policy that ensures it is never more than a certain amount per bottle. Expert servers can assist with selection and will, of course, pour your chosen bottle in fine Spiegelau crystal stemware.

Like the WAC's popular Winemaker Dinners and Torchy's Wine Bar tastings, the University Club hosts monthly wine tastings (excluding July and August) featuring well-known guest speakers who have included top wine writer/critic Clive Coates, le Comte de Lur Saluces from Ch. d'Yquem, and Christian Pol Roger from Champagne Roger, to name a few.

Admit one - Group of Seven
Forgo gallery admission and appreciate the
impressive art collection right within the club.
The collection, which has been carefully nurtured over the years, includes paintings by the "Group of Seven," world-renowned Canadian artists from the 20th century.
World travelers, wine lovers and art buffs alike will find much to appreciate at the University Club of Toronto.
