Napa Valley’s original winery comes to the WAC
If you know wine, you know Charles Krug. On Friday, October 28, Napa Valley’s legendary Charles Krug Winery comes to the WAC by way of wine dinner with an appearance from third-generation owner Peter Mondavi Jr. Founded in 1861 by winemaking pioneer Charles Krug, Napa Valley’s oldest winery estate has since achieved icon status. The Mondavi family has owned the winery since 1943, and over generations, they have been dedicated to preserving their pedigree as Napa Valley’s—and one of the world’s—best.
The Charles Krug Wine Dinner is set to take place in the Crystal Ballroom, and a four-course dinner will be prepared by WAC Executive Chef Eric Floyd in tandem with Charles Krug wine pairings. Owner/co-proprietor Peter Mondavi Jr. is also set to make an appearance and speak on the winery and their wines.
“Peter Mondavi Jr. is one of the most affable and approachable winery owners I have met,” Vice President of Food & Beverage Peter Christian says. “He has great respect for the history of Charles Krug Winery and what it means to not only his family, but wine lovers in general.”
