Behind the scenes of Climate Pledge Arena
A WAC Virtual Event
Presented by Zeacon
Enter Climate Pledge Arena, the future home of the Seattle Kraken NHL team and soon to be the world’s first Net-Zero Certified arena. The excitement buzzing around the return of professional hockey to Seattle is palpable—and so is the excitement surrounding what will be the world’s most environmentally friendly professional sports and entertainment facility. Join fellow WAC members for this exclusive virtual look inside Climate Pledge Arena!
Live from the WAC, President & CEO Chuck Nelson will moderate this event that will include presentations from Rosie Selle, Climate Pledge Arena Vice President of Marketing, and Jeff Webster, Seattle Kraken Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. The complete redevelopment of the landmark arena (formerly KeyArena) serves to meet the goal of being the most progressive, responsible and sustainable arena in the world. Net zero certification is awarded to projects that demonstrate any or all of the following: net zero carbon emissions, net zero energy use, net zero water use, or net zero waste.
Climate Pledge Arena will be home to the Seattle Kraken beginning in 2021. It will also serve as the new home of the four-time WNBA champion Seattle Storm and will host the biggest names in the music and entertainment industries. Take a look inside the project. See where it started, where it’s at, and what it will look like when it’s complete.
