This Friday, our musical guest will be singer and piano player duo Victor Janusz and Arwen Dewey. Arwen is a Seattle-based singer and actor specializing in jazz, musical theater and international standards. She has lived, worked and studied music throughout the US, Europe and South America, and is passionate about singing songs from other cultures with her audiences. Also a lyricist and professional translator, Arwen frequently seeks out vintage French tunes and performs them both in the original language and in English translation. She has been working with dear friend and mentor Victor Janusz since 2013, collaborating on original cabaret shows (including “Date With the Moon,” “Songs of the City,” “Romance! Romance! Romance!” and more) and concerts performed throughout the Puget Sound. Her top favorite musical theater projects have been featured roles in “The Last Five Years,” “Into the Woods,” “Company” “Pirates of Penzance” and “A Year With Frog and Toad.”
Victor Janusz Featuring Arwen Dewey continues their eclectic musical brand for the holidays with traditional rock n’ blues, Motown, and songs in French and Spanish to make it global celebration for the holiday season for all! However, you celebrate the group has something for everyone and love for all as we welcome a New Year!
Some crowd favorites are “Tombe Nieve” (French) “Guadalupe/Feliz Navidad” (Spanish) “Santa Claus is comin’ to town” (Motown Style version) “Jingle bell rock” “Have yourself a merry little Christmas” and many more!
