A Visit to the Museum of Modern Art
A WAC Virtual Event
In January we visited the halls and exhibits at the Met, and we all loved it so much that it’s time to head back to New York City. Let’s enter the doors of the MoMA, the world’s most important museum of modern art. Opened in 1929 to expose Americans to European modernism, MoMA’s masterpieces include Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Picasso’s Demoiselles d’Avignon, Salvador Dali’s melting watches and Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans. Rebecca Albiani is a popular local art historian who gives a monthly lecture series at the Frye Art Museum.
