We’ve all heard about the shortage of mariners resulting in reduced state ferry service and long wait times for customers. But where do they find marine engineers ready and qualified to jump on board? In partnership with Seattle Central College, the Seattle Maritime Academy offers comprehensive certificate programs at their new facility. Located on the shore of Lake Union, we’ll tour the facility’s classrooms, state-of-the-art bridge simulator, and maybe a training vessel! Plus, we’ll learn about the maritime programs they offer recreational boaters.
