“We stayed at the Inn at the WAC after losing power due to a late-night windstorm. Usually, we would just wait it out until power was restored. But in the age of COVID, no electricity meant no Wi-Fi—our kids couldn’t access their college lectures and my wife, a vice principal and 6th grade teacher, couldn’t connect to her class. The Inn at the WAC was my first call in this time of need.
“The Inn staff accommodated our situation with a same day early check-in at 7 am and offered a special daily rate, just in case we didn’t need to stay the night. We ended up staying for two nights. The kids attended their lectures, my wife was able to teach, and I connected to the office—all without skipping a beat.
“The warmth and comfort of the accommodations, the staff’s friendliness, and the high-speed Internet made our stay a pleasant experience for the whole family—even our dog Sport, who enjoyed two cozy nights in the basement kennel.
