Every year, the Morris Trophy honors the Pac-12’s best offensive and defensive linemen. The Washington Athletic Club is the proud host of the award luncheon, an event that brings Pac-12 fans together in celebration and appreciation of some of footballs hardest working players.

Solomon Thomas
Defensive End, Stanford

Solomon Thomas, a 6-foot-3, 273-pound junior from Coppell, Texas, led Stanford during the 2016 season with 36 solo tackles and 55 total tackles. He was a two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week and ranked in the top five in the Pac-12 for sacks (seven) and tackles for loss (15). He was named to the All-Pac-12 first team and earned conference honors for academics. Thomas is the sixth Cardinal to win the Morris Trophy Award, joining Willie Howard (1999), Kwame Harris (2002), David Yankey (2012), Andrus Peat (2014), and Joshua Garnett (2015).

Isaac Asiata
Offensive Guard, Utah

Isaac Asiata, a 6-foot-3, 323-pound senior from Spanish Fork, Utah, accumulated 39 straight starts during his last three seasons and was named to the 2016 Associated
Press All-Bowl Team. He was a four-year starter and played in 45 games during his collegiate career. During the 2016 season, Asiata scored a touchdown against USC after recovering a fumble in the end zone. Asiata is the third Ute
to win the Morris Trophy, joining Star Lotulelei (2011) and
Nate Orchard (2014).
