Cocktail Corner: Kentucky Mulled Cider

Kentucky Mulled Cider

By Peter Christian, Vice President Food & Beverage

Winter has arrived, and few drinks take the chill out of our bones like a Kentucky mulled cider. Our version highlights Maker’s Mark 46, a robust bourbon made using seared staves of French oak. That wood finishing delivers notes of vanilla and caramel perfect for a Kentucky mulled cider. This drink is simple to prepare, but you can take it to the next level by mulling your own cider. Try studding an apple with cloves and tossing it into a pot of Northwest apple cider with cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, and orange zest. Or, keep it simple. Either way, we’re sure you’ll welcome winter with a smile.
