New WAC Dietitian

Meet Alysse Anderegg

Welcome new WAC Dietitian Alysse Anderegg! A native of the Midwest, Alysse spent the last three years as a clinical dietitian at Kansas City’s Morrison Healthcare Research Medical Center, where she provided inpatient and outpatient care and served as preceptor for dietetic interns from colleges around the Midwest.

Alysse entered the field of nutrition 10 years ago as an undergraduate student of biology at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. She continued to Iowa State University, where she received a master’s degree in dietetics and exercise science.

“I loved the combination of health and wellness from the moment I started learning,” Alysse says. “I was also getting very into running, so my academic pursuits supported my hobby really well.”

Alysse’s love for the outdoors and a desire for a milder climate brought her to Seattle this past July. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and bringing her Labrador, Luna, to the dog park for a swim.

Alysse is dedicated to helping clients learn to love food again, overcome health barriers, and find solutions for food intolerances. “The diet industry has made us unnecessarily scared to eat so many things,” she says. “You can eat what you love within reason and still be healthful. I’m here to help you do just that through portion control, individualized direction, and personalized recommendations.”

Upon graduating Iowa State, Alysse completed 1,200 hours of rotations as a dietetic intern at hospitals, clinics, and community centers across Georgia and Missouri. She has presented her research on diabetes at various biology conferences and had her work published in the Journal of Nutrition.

Come see Alysse on the 4th Floor for your diet and wellness needs.
