Reciprocal Club: Columbus

Fall into Columbus

Experience autumn in central Ohio

By Amanda Brynn, Director Member Services

Columbus, Ohio, is a great place to visit year-round, but it really shines in the fall. Trees turn every imaginable shade of red, orange, yellow, and brown. The local fields and orchards are full of the season’s best produce. It’s also a time when the city comes alive with unbeatable festivals and events featuring a wide range of topics, such as ethnic heritage, horses, high fashion, football, and more.

Located in the heart of the city, the Athletic Club of Columbus is a welcome home for reciprocal travelers. Since 1912, the ACC has served as central Ohio’s premier private club. It offers exquisite yet comfortable surroundings, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, fabulous dining options, meeting spaces, and family entertainment areas.

Throughout the six-story historical clubhouse, you’ll find plenty to explore, including newly renovated hotel suites on the sixth floor. There’s also a modern five-lane bowling lounge and more than 40,000 square feet dedicated to fitness. With cardiovascular and strength-training areas, an indoor pool, jogging track, whirlpool, men’s and women’s steam rooms, a basketball gym, sport courts, and locker rooms, the ACC has it all.

The Athletic Club of Columbus is also an integral part of the Columbus business and political community. Notable former members include America’s 29th President, Warren G. Harding, four-term Ohio governor James Rhodes, and Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas.

With its accommodations and amenities, the ACC is an ideal destination for family and business travel. Request your letter of introduction by signing in to wac.net and visiting wac.net/membership/reciprocal-clubs. Or call 206.464.3068.
