Supporting Seattle sports
Pro sports partnerships.
The WAC is proud to announce new partnerships with the Seattle Storm and Seattle Reign FC. “We love partnering with quality organizations and supporting women’s athletics,” says Wayne Milner, WAC Senior Vice President Athletics, Special Projects & Community Partners.
The Reign FC partnership includes free tickets for members to WAC Friends & Family Night on Wednesday, June 28, at Memorial Stadium. WAC members can also sign up for a limited number of free tickets to the Storm’s WAC Night Out on Wednesday, August 16. Members will also receive discounted tickets to all regular season Reign FC and Storm games. Details are available at the concierge desk in the lobby.
“The WAC is a well-respected Seattle icon that celebrates sport at all levels.” Seattle Reign Vice President of Partnerships Kaylynn Kelley says. “As we continue to elevate the platform of female athletes on the local and national stage, aligning with a historic local institution like the WAC is natural.”
Nate Silverman, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships with the Storm, says the team’s goal with partners is value alignment. “Health and wellness is a big piece of what we promote in the community,” he says. “The WAC is the same way, so there was synergy there.”
Silverman expects the WAC partnership to elevate the Storm’s presence in the community. “The WNBA is played at a really pure level,” he says. “We create an
engaged atmosphere for fans so that when they walk away they think it was really cool and something they want to bring their friends to see.”
This year, the Storm will also host the WNBA All-Star Game, set for Saturday, July 22. “The game has never been here before and we’re excited to show the league and the nation that Seattle is a great sports city,” Silverman says.
Kelley says the WAC partnership comes with many pluses for Reign FC, as well. “WAC members are passionate, engaged members of the community. We can’t think of a better group to align with.”
