WAC Junior of the Month: Grace Rosen

WAC Junior of the Month: Grace Rosen

October 2016

Nine-year old Grace Rosen recently added karate training to her long list of athletic pursuits. A swimmer, gymnast, and softball player, Grace began practicing karate as an after-school activity in 2015. She is currently an advanced yellow belt, and her next belt will be orange. Her favorite part of karate is learning the skill sets and moves she needs to advance to the next challenge. In addition to practicing karate, Grace does judo at the WAC. She also learned how to swim in the 6th Floor pool and took her first gymnastics class at the Club. Grace’s favorite memory of the WAC is her time at summer camp in 2015. She especially liked going on field trips around Seattle with her fellow campers. When she’s not practicing karate or enjoying time with her family at the WAC, Grace likes to read. She read 25 books during summer 2016 and recently started the Harry Potter series. Grace wants to be a marine biologist or veterinarian when she grows up
