WAC Junior of the Month: Caroline DeFranco

WAC Junior of the Month: Caroline DeFranco.

March 2016

A senior at Holy Names Academy, Caroline DeFranco started ballroom dancing seven years ago after she was inspired by a performance at that year’s Father Daughter Banquet. Caroline now dances as part of the youth premier team at Pacific Ballroom Dance. The team recently competed in the U.S. National Amateur Dancesport Championships in Utah. Caroline says that ballroom dance allows her to express herself creatively and gives her an indescribable feeling she loves. She is also grateful for the teamwork skills and friendships she has developed. Caroline visits the WAC once or twice weekly, working out on the 7th Floor and swimming in the pool. Massages in the Spa have helped her through dance-related injuries. Last year, her junior dance story came full circle when she performed at the Father Daughter Banquet. Caroline wants to continue her dance training in college and hopes to compete at the international level. Her ultimate dance dream? To join the Dancing with the Stars troupe.
